Starbucks Reserve, a line of ultra-premium, single-origin coffees will launch this fall in select U.S. stores. Chosen by Starbucks coffee buyers for their unique flavors and rarity, Starbucks Reserve coffees will be offered in limited quantities and while supplies last in select stores within metropolitan markets including New York City, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Boston, Seattle, Portland, Ore., Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Miami. The first offering, Galapagos San Cristobal, originated on San Cristobal, an island in the Galapagos Islands. The subtropical region’s intense microclimate, rich volcanic soil and equatorial sun create ideal conditions for extraordinary coffee.
Oh this is neat. City in a JAR has created a sleekly designed glass jar full of tiny pins, each featuring a landmark from your favorite city. The first city is Minneapolis, but I’m hoping more are to follow soon. Each pin is a tiny nugget of great design. I’m thinking these would make great favors for events. If they make a Detroit JAR I’m definitely getting one for Speaker.

Esopus Magazine is a unique bi-annual magazine about art, writing, design, and music. Esopus contains actual tangible pieces of art: Esopus 12: Black & White contained a removable booklet of a featured artist’s sketches, a film strip from a medium format camera, and more. It isn’t the most well known publication, so you won’t find it just anywhere, but fortunately you can find a list of locations on the Esopus website.
They also have a gallery space in NYC that always has something exciting going on.
