The controversial Speedo LZR suits, made famous with Michael Phelp’s highly decorated 2008 Olympics, are now banned from competition. I guess they gave the wearers too much advantage over the competition.
Whatever the reason, these banned suits are making a come back in a line created by students at the London College of Fashion. I suppose they make a statement about the short-lived suits, but I’d image that even the new versions are extremely uncomfortable. Competition suits are supposed to be fast. The end. Most swimmers would pretty much only wear them for the duration of their event, but hey, knock yourselves out models.
